The man was dead, not alive!

[Galatians 5:1] “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free.”
[Revelation 2:25] “But hold fast what you have till I come.”
It doesn’t work for Christians. “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above.” – Colossians 3:1 (KJV)
[Ephesians 5:31,32] “…and the two shall become one flesh. This is a great mystery…”
The seeds of rebellion were in them. “And I looked, and behold, you had sinned against the Lord your God—had made for yourselves a molded calf! You had turned aside quickly from the way which the Lord had commanded you.” – Deuteronomy 9:16
[Genesis 18:23,25] And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? … That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: … Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
